Reserve/Volunteer Program

The Greater Brighton Fire Protection District hires Career Firefighters from within.  In order to be eligible to become a Career Firefighter, you must be a Reserve/Volunteer Firefighter in good standing with the Fire District.

 

 

 

 

The Greater Brighton Fire Protection District is always looking for men and women who are interested becoming members of the organization.  The Fire District continuously accepts applications for the position of reserve/volunteer firefighter.  We will keep your application on file for 12-months.   
 

All candidates are required to successfully complete the Fire District’s Fire Academy.  The Fire District will provide training for candidates to the State of Colorado Firefighter I, Hazardous Materials Operations and Medical First Responder Level. 
 

Reserve firefighters are required to complete a minimum of 36 duty hours a month and a minimum of 60 hours of training each year.
