BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Board of Directors was established to oversee and govern District operations.  The strategy developed by the District includes the creation of a long-range plan which will help us to continue to provide superior service to the residents of the District.  Board meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month.  Meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. in the Meeting Room at the District Fire Station 52, located at 5 Firehouse Road, Brighton, CO 80601.

Meetings are open to the general public, and anyone can address the Board on any agenda item at the time of its discussion.  Anyone can also bring up items not included on the agenda during the "Public Input and Information" portion of the meeting.  The Board of Directors consists of five locally elected officials.  Any resident of the District can run for a Board seat.  Elections are held every two years on the even years.  One election is for two seats, the next for three.  The next Board election will be held in 2008.

The current Board of Directors consists of the following individuals:

Julie Blair, President

    Ms. Blair works in the Adams County District Attorney's office.  She previously served as the Director of the Adams County Communication Center.  She is in her first term of office.

Philip Daily, Vice-President

    Mr. Daily is also a local businessman and a retired member of the Volunteer Firefighters.  He is serving his second term on the Board of Directors.

Cindy Lippman, Secretary 

    Ms. Lippman has been a Colorado resident since 1979, and an Adams County resident since 2001.  Her husband Ron is a retired Assistant Fire Chief with the West Metro Fire District.  Ms. Lippman has been a registered nurse, since 1978, specializing in Emergency Medicine.  She retired in 1999.  She has also been a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant for 18 years.  She is past president of the Todd Creek Farms Homeowners Association, and a member of Nativity Lutheran Church in Commerce City.
