Renter may use the Rental Space for the purpose of

The Rental Space shall not be used for organized political or religious
activities, or any activity that may directly or indirectly injure or damage any
individual or property. The Rental Space is not a public forum, and the District

Never Use Flour to Treat Burns
We recently saw an email that
started going out to people last month about healing a burn by putting it in a
sack of flour. The story tells of a
Viet Nam
vet who threw flour on a
fellow soldier who was on fire. Every bit of this story is
false, please do not forward it unless you are trying to warn against it.
Flour is flammable in the form of dust or a cloud (as when "throwing" it at a
burning victim). The attached snopes.com article has a copy of the
inaccurate email that is being sent out followed by information on proper burn
injury care and why you should never use flour (or even sugar) to douse someone
whose clothes are on fire.

O2 Fur Life Program
Our District
will receive 5 sets of O2 masks for pet O2 therapy as a donation from the O2 Fur
Life Program. We are one of 14 departments in the state to become a part of
this program. Many of us on our department and in our community feel that pets
are considered a big part of our families. Most of us would agree that saving
their lives is just as important as that of our other family members.

Poison Awareness is Something to Practice EVERY Month
We asked that all citizens take
the time to educate themselves about POISONS, especially toxic household
products. But it is always the right time to learn what the words DANGER,
WARNING, CAUTION and KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN mean and teach them to your
children. For more information you can visit

Share the Harvest
In an effort to support those in need within
the City of Brighton, The Brighton Share the Harvest Organization and the local
food pantries have placed in each of the District's five fire stations a
collection container where you can drop off non-perishable food items. For
further information about this program you can contact Linda Young at
