Purchased in 2006, the Spartan / Smeal fire engine was delivered at the first of the year.  Engine 55 is the sister rig to "Engine 52".   Engine 55 has a 1,000 gallon water tank, a 1,500 gallon per minute fire pump and a 30 gallon foam tank.  This engine was designed with a rescue body.  This design allows the firefighters to carrier more equipment on the truck.  Engine 55 also carries a "Bullard Thermal Imaging Camera" which assists firefighter in searching for victims in a house fire.
