The Greater Brighton Fire Protection District (GBFPD) is committed to providing comprehensive and cost effective services to the communities and citizens within the district.  The quality of life is enhanced through emergency services, public education, fire prevention, and community involvement.

The demographic profile of our community shows that 39.1% of our residents within high-risk age groups that are likely to suffer the effects of fire.  The District's goal is to reach more individuals in the primary target groups of young and elderly, and improve our outreach to at-risk socioeconomic groups.  The District plans a door-to-door campaign designed to increase the number of homes protected by working smoke alarms.

There are still too many homes in our District without a working smoke alarm. Smoke alarms save lives. Two years ago, GBFPD received a grant from the Federal Government to provide free smoke alarms and will install them in your home at no charge. We also have smoke alarms for the hearing impaired. If you do not have a smoke alarm, or if yours is more than 10 years old (maximum life expectancy), call District Headquarters at 303-659-4101 during normal business hours to schedule an appointment. Remember, this is a FREE service to our customers – we want you to be as safe as possible in your home.

Change your clock, change your battery.
