TENDER  51

________________________________________________________________________

The Fire District protects a large portion of the District that is without any fire hydrants.  Because of this, the Fire District operates a fleet of five Tenders.  All of the Tenders carry a minimum of 3,000 gallons of water, a fire pump and a porta-pond.  Each Tender can transport water from a fire hydrant back to the scene of an emergency.  They also can be used to supply a Fire Engine with a fire hose.

Tender 51 is a 1984 Ford and the tank was constructed by a local builder.  This tender carries 3,200 gallons of water and has a fire pump rated at 500 gpm.
