TRUCK 51 ________________________________________________________________________
The Fire Districts only truck company is also the flagship of the fleet. Truck 51 is a 2003 Spartan / Smeal 75ft ladder truck. It also carries a fire pump rated at 1,500 gallons per minute, a 30 gallon foam tank and a 500 gallon water tank. The Truck can use its ladder for rescues, but can also use its pump to help extinguish fires like a fire engine can do. Truck 51 also carries extra equipment not found on most of the other Fire Engines within our fleet. Truck 51 also carries a "Bullard Thermal Imaging Camera" which assists firefighter in searching for victims in a house fire.
